You really did something so amazing last night, you have no idea how far this can and will carry you.
There are stories of people in the holocaust who's lives were saved by their relatives long dead, and they were told it was only because of the zechus of abstaining from a very tempting and available aveirah, that they were allowed to come down and go against the rules.
A normal human in your situation SHOULD FALL!!! You have to realize that when you stand up to that kind of temptation, it's not normal. It's not normally good. People just aren't that dedicated. You broke the rules!!! Congratulations..... You did it!!
The passuk in hallel says "Hayam ra'ah vayanas". The medrash says, the water originally did not want to split for klal yisroe, but when "it saw" then "it ran".
What did it see that made it run? The atzmos Yosef. The water said "My nature is to flow freely in a natural direction. Why should I change my nature for Klal Yisroel?"
When it saw the Atzmos of Yosef, who defied every law of nature, and royally feifed the way things naturally work...
