Description: The Thursday night group is an introductory 12 step discussion group patterned after SLAA (Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous). When you join this group you will be introduced to the problem, the solution and begin to heal by listening to others share their experiences, strength and hope.  Sharing is encouraged but not required.  Questions are welcome.  Members who attend regularly now, have months of sobriety under their belts.  They describe in meetings how their lives have changed dramatically at home, at work and in social situations, even in their relationship with Hashem. They have begun to explore the root causes of this disease and are learning how to live a life of spiritual connection instead of fantasy.

    Elya posted after two months:

Our phone group has only been on for 2 months and 90% have 5-8 weeks of sobriety. These are people that have been acting out for over 20-30 YEARS. You have to willing to take the first step and begin. You won’t make a fool of yourself because no one judges you or gives you advice. You just talk it out, then the next person talks it out. Problems are solved later privately. Just speaking it out and listening to others is very powerful. I hope to “see” you on the calls!

In a recent session, one of the members of the group (Joel from Ohio) was just so happy and thankful for this group. He told everyone on the call how he had never read anything about these problems before and had never been to a therapist, and he explained that the Jewish Healing Group was the first experience he has had to educate himself and get help. He announced that he was three weeks sober already and thanked the “Jewish Healing Group” from the bottom of his heart!
