“The Physical & Spiritual Combo” Method
TaPhSiC Method (“Tafsik” means “Stop!” in Hebrew)

A powerful method for Frum addicts

We all want to stop. Whenever we think of the “big picture”, both spiritually and physically, we realize that sooner or later we HAVE to stop. But we often feel like two different people. We ask ourselves, do I have Yiras Shamayim or don’t I? What repercussions will it take to finally stop me? Do I have any hope?

Here is a method that has worked well with many Frum addicts, in helping them stop …

Here is some info on the iPhone:

How to Disable Safari

The iPhone OS is equipped with a "Restrictions" feature which allows you to password protect certain applications. Go to Settings -> General -> Restrictions and you can create a password for Safari. You can then forget this password and give it to someone else. If you happen to know it and want to reset it, type in the password, then disable restrictions and re-enable it. It will ask you to type in a new pass-code. NOTE : Restricting Safari will prevent …

There is often a problem of pritzus even on legitimate web sites, that even with filters, accountability software, etc. you still can run into problems. An example I noticed recently: I was on a site that sold a product. This site is completely Kosher and would not be blocked by any filters, nor would it raise any red flags if a "web shomer" sees that you visited this site. But, on the site there was a picture of a girl using the product and the girl was not dressed tzniusly. …

 Dear all,
I just wanted to let you all know about my success with hypnotherapy. I had 6 one hour sessions at £65 pre hour. I explained that I wanted to completely eradicate my desire for p**n and m****bation (which are very related) which suprised my therapist but he said that if I believed I could stop then it would work. I posted about it on the forum once:In his book, Dr. Victor Frankl (a yid) tells his experiences of the holocaust, and how a person can find meaning in the worst possible situations. Hearing this first hand from a holocaust survivor, backed up with his many studies, is a very powerful thing. This book has inspired and continues to inspire millions of people to find meaning within their challenges, to help them rise above.

Making Nedarim (vows) can be a very powerful tool in this struggle, and Chazal indeed encourage Nedarim for these type of tests. However, vows must be made very carefully and only for short periods of time (at first) to assure that they can be kept under all circumstances. See this page and this page of our site for advice on how to make vows safely and effectively to help in this struggle.

I’ve been seeing a very good therapist and learning more about myself. It seems that my problem is not necessarily about an addiction to porn itself, but rather, it’s many things on the side that bring it out.
Certain situations that I put myself into really seem to trigger my problem. For example, if I had a day full of negative thoughts and thought distortions and then I’ll find myself sitting by a computer in a library or some place private with a lot …

I own a SurfScope router (www.surfscope.com) and I have not been able to defeat it. It records the computer screen, stores the captures on the router, and replays it over and over later on the screensavers. The screensaver feature is convenient, because who has time to manually look through hundreds of captures every day? It uses encryption, and if you try to tamper with anything, it cuts your internet connection. The website also has a video that describes how it works. The router resides …
